I'm the passionate mind behind OneNaijaBoy – a digital compass navigating the vibrant landscapes of Nigerian and African development. Your annoyingly optimistic cousin who won’t shut up about Nigeria and Africa’s potential. Think of me as the guy at the family reunion yelling, “But imagine if we actually fixed things!
Why This Blog Exists.
I started One Naija Boy because I’m tired of two extremes:
- “Africa Rising” Folks: Who think waving “We’re the Future” flags while ignoring potholes will magically fix things.
- “Africa is Doomed” Crowd: Who’d rather meme about bad roads than build a single meter of new ones.
Here, we do solutions, not sermons. Think of it as a WhatsApp group where tech geeks, farmers, policy nerds, and hustlers argue constructively—then actually do something.
Why OneNaijaBoy?
The "One" represents unity – the understanding that despite our beautiful diversity, we share common aspirations for prosperity, justice, and opportunity.
"Naija" embodies our vibrant spirit – resilient, resourceful, and relentlessly optimistic even in challenging circumstances.
"Boy" reflects curiosity and growth – always learning, questioning, and evolving my understanding of development issues.
Together, OneNaijaBoy symbolizes the journey we're on – collectively building a Nigeria and Africa that honors our heritage while embracing innovation.

Who Am I?
- Real Name: You can call me “OneNaijaBoy”—everyone does.
- Day Job: "Recovering tech bro" / “Policy dropout” / “Agri-preneur”.
- Superpower: Turning 4 a.m. generator fumes into blog post ideas.
- Guilty Pleasure: Arguing about Nigerian politics on Twitter… then deleting the tweets.
I’m not an expert, just a stubborn believer that Nigeria and Africa’s solutions are hiding in plain sight. Sometimes, you just need to stop complaining and start connecting the dots.
